She's Dynamite

The speaker describes meeting a woman who seems unlike anyone he has known before. He is impressed by her confidence and ability, repeating that she is “dynamite.” The mood is playful and admiring, though the speaker also sounds a little surprised and perhaps wary of how much she seems to control the situation.

“Dynamite” is a metaphor for someone exciting, powerful, or explosive; it is not meant literally here. The repeated claim that she “knows what to do” suggests skill and self-assurance, but the lyrics leave the exact activity unclear. Her pistol, knife, and razor make her seem tough and potentially dangerous. The line about her telling him rather than being told presents her as independent and unwilling to be controlled.

Some of the verses use suggestive language, especially the lines about what she can do and the objects that can be thrown or handled. They may hint at sexual confidence, but the lyrics do not explain every image, so a more literal or comic reading is also possible. Overall, the woman is portrayed as bold and capable, while the speaker’s repeated praise mixes attraction with astonishment.
