We're after your heart, we're not after your hand
You made us part of your wonderful plan
You gave us the arts to impart this to man
Therefore we need you to, Purify
We're after your heart, we're not after your hand
You made us part of your wonderful plan
You gave us the arts to impart this to man
Therefore we need you to, be glorified
People got questions like why am I here? Plus what is my purpose?
Why did He make me and place me on earth's surface?
What was His reasoning I know that He's perfect
I know that He made me so I could give him worship
But, with my life and not merely lip service
The just live by faith I've been purchased
So purge us Lord please help us to purpose
In our hearts to live godly until the earth has
Passed away or until the day we pass away
You give grace to the humble, the proud you cast away
We want to please you our Father we know we have to pray
We want to give you twenty-four hours not half a day
And with all I have to say I'll keep it brief
I pray that you keep filling me up so I can feed your sheep
The world we live in is crazy Father we need your peace
We're saying Jesus please, Purify
We're after your heart, we're not after your hand
You made us part of your wonderful plan
You gave us the arts to impart this to man
Therefore we need you to, Purify
We're after your heart, we're not after your hand
You made us part of your wonderful plan
You gave us the arts to impart this to man
Therefore we need you to, be glorified
This is a romance Lord you got the candlelight
We hear you whispering, teaching us how to handle life
The prince of peace Your footprints are on the sands of life
A loving Father, You're teaching us how to stand and fight
We know our standards like high as the sky
So help us to say no to the desires inside, Lord
I can be haughty, I got to die to my pride
Your eyes are always on us it's like we hired a spy
But the difference is You're examining our hearts
You're teaching us to stand 'cause our stamina is short
The planet is handing us glamour and in short
We yield to the demands of Your commandments to endure
And to be pure help us to watch what we watch
Plus watch what we say at every watch of the day
We don't want to fall in sin so we watch and we pray
Plus we stop and we say Lord, purify
We're after your heart, we're not after your hand
You made us part of your wonderful plan
You gave us the arts to impart this to man
Therefore we need you to, Purify
We're after your heart, we're not after your hand
You made us part of your wonderful plan
You gave us the arts to impart this to man
Therefore we need you to, be glorified
Lord, Lord, I really want to want you without all the stuff
And fall in love with Your person, I wouldn't call Your bluff
To live holy our Father we hear You calling us
We want to grow to the point in which You are enough
And that's hard stuff I ain't gonna lie but You will sustain us
Since we're attached to the vine plus
You gave us Your word in print and that is Your mind
A revelation of who You are so after this rhyme
I pray you worship God, He's so merciful
He's so holy His character's not versatile
Obey that's what I'm trying to say in a verse or two
We keep You first as You, Purify
We're after your heart, we're not after your hand
You made us part of your wonderful plan
You gave us the arts to impart this to man
Therefore we need you to, Purify
We're after your heart, we're not after your hand
You made us part of your wonderful plan
You gave us the arts to impart this to man
Therefore we need you to, be glorified
