I was sitting in the park
Watching as the people passed me by
Then out of the blue
There came someone like you to catch my eye
With just one sweep of the wind
Girl, you turned your head
And took a look my way
How I tried to prep myself
Knowing there was really nothing I could say
ย
You took me by surprise
As I was looking, looking back at you
I saw love in your eyes
As you were looking, looking back at me
Hey, baby
Looking back, looking back
Looking back, looking back at you
I was looking back, looking back, oh
Looking back, looking back at you
I had never realized
Your passing me that day was in your plan
I was so wrapped up inside
'Cause I knew I had to see your face again
Opportunity passed me by
While I was being cool
And acting very proud
'Cause by the time I took a second look
Your face was just a memory in the crowd
You took me by surprise
As I was looking, looking back at you
I saw love in your eyes
As you were looking, looking back at me
You took me by surprise
Girl, as I was looking, looking back at you
I saw love in your eyes
As you were looking, looking back at me
Hey, baby
Looking back, looking back
Looking back, looking back at you
I was looking back, looking back
Looking back, looking back at you
Don't you know I was
Looking back, looking back
Looking back, looking back at you
I was looking back, looking back
Looking back, looking back at you
