"I actually have a question for you
So you have this song of yours that got 2.5 million plays
This was all recently too?"
"Yeah, it started in July and then it was slow build all the way."
"Was there ever a point in that process
Where you were trying to resist that happening
Because of what it was gonna align for you
And what path it was gonna carve out?"
"There's definitely a certain degree of denial."
Fate has a funny way to say it's your turn
Oh, it can feel like a long way
But you'll learn
Once you find what you're looking for
You might not want it anymore
But if it's fate then it's something you can't ignore (Can't ignore)
"It never came in the way I thought it would
And so, there was kinda this degree of denial for me
The last six months of 2022, I was like tightened anxiety
'Cause it was like this new-new tension
I'm not really a person to do well with tension."
"So everything, well basically everything blew up because of one."
"Yeah, that one song. And then I realized 'Oh wait'
And this is the path I wanted to take
Just the first of my discography
This is just the starting point
This is like the point that peopleโ
It will hit the biggest splatter
And then the people who seek more of my music will go and do that."
