Lyrics
A newborn child just starting to grow
Does not understand but soon he will know
That waiting before him each step of the way
The spiritual war that awaits him each day
But soon he will learn a lesson so sweet
That God's holy word is the lamp to his feet
A light to his pathway, the word of the Lord
The sword of the spirit, our weapons of war
So we cry to the king
Cause we know he's listening
Because of our prayer
We know that something's happening
The power is there
We know that something's happening
In God we trust
For he promises us
And because of our prayer
We know that something's happening
Faith it will come, yes it will appear
When God's holy word is all that we hear
The prayers of the righteous will get the job done
Through the sword of the Lord, the words of the Son
So we reach for the sky
Sending our petitions up high
Because of our prayer
We know that something's happening
The power is there
We know that something's happening
In God we trust
For he promises us
And because of our prayer
We know that something's happening
