Lyrics
"Well let's face it we've been on the road for
Four and a half years now"
"You weren't here when I said my theory"
"What's that?"
"That if you write a road song you have
To be kicked out of the musicians union"
"But I never made direct references, you know"
"But I'll change that, you have to mention whiskey bottles
If it's a railroad song"
"Yeah and roadies"
"We're an American band, dudes let's get it on"
"Girls always say that to me, when I'm in the post office
Hey dude let's get it on"
"One of my favorite lines of all time"
"On answering the question, we've
Pretty much been pilgrims
For the last four and a half years
That has a real influence on the way that you think"
"I don't think that even traveling is the
Main reason you feel a bit disconnected"
"You just realize there's so much more
Than you would have ever thought
And I mean even knowing all the places in the world that there are
It doesn't really hit home until you see them and what is home
And what use to be real insult
Is not really secure as what it used to be"
"I hated Athens before I started playing
In the band, I didn't hate it, but I had been there before
5 or 6 years before and I was real tired of it
And I wanted to be gone and now when we're gone
I can't wait to get back, and I think you
Might realize it's still defying close and
Those ties to home are more important
Than you imagined when you were younger"
