The autumn leaves have lost their flair
The skies of November turn gloomy
Then just like that a snowflake falls
And it does something magical to me
The first snowfall of the season
Brings a certain kind of happy atmosphere
Cause the first snowfall of the season
Is the best snowfall of the year
With the first snowfall of the season
Comes a time we've been waiting for all year
Oh the first snowfall of the season
Is the best snowfall of the year
See it coming down all over town
City lights shine a little bit brighter
In that moment then
I'm a kid again
And my heart feels a little bit lighter
Yes the first snowfall of the season
Is a time to be jolly I recall
Cause the first snowfall of the season
Is the best snowfall of them all
Storm or Flurry, don't you worry
Though the forecast may be severe
Slush or slurry, I'm in a hurry
To get home to you for Christmas this year
Yes the first snowfall of the season
Is a time to be merry I recall
Cause the first snowfall of the season
Is the best of them all, storm or squall, have a ball
Cause it's clear
That the holidays will soon be here
