Lyrics

Axes falling down onto your unsuspecting head Blasting through the amplifiers lining the stage Shaking the city with the earthshattering bass As we scream and shout and we release the built up rage Nobody that's at the show is ready for our power There is nothing that can stop us once the lights shine down So don't you even try to sabotage our show 'cuz then we'll grab you by the throat and kick you outta this town We're on the rise We're on the rise The rise to the top We're imminent These sounds be shooting straight through your bleeding ears When we play, your ears' drums will be breaking from ours You can't handle us and you'll never handle us Tonight belongs to us, it's our moment and hour So we burst out and we rock this whole house down Stroking up and down with our fingers and our picks Pounding the snare and the toms with all of our might As you jump and you scream along to our riffs and licks We're on the rise We're on the rise The rise to the top We're imminent We're on the rise We're on the rise The rise to the top We're imminent Imminence Time seems to move faster once we hop onstage The hours turn to seconds when we play our tunes Once we say it's over, you'll be beggin' for more But don't you worry, we'll be comin' back soon We are standing on the shoulders of the rockin' giants So we pay our respects to our inspirations Hetfield, Burton, Friedman, Tankian, and Malakian We give you thanks for laying down our foundations We're on the rise We're on the rise The rise to the top We're imminent
