Little Boy: Mom, mom, MOM!?!?!
Woman: I'm here Christopher, what's wrong honey?
Little Boy: There's a man in my room
Woman: Oh honey, there's no man in your room
Little Boy: Yes there is. He keeps on talking to me
Woman: Well what does he sound like?
Little Boy: I think it's The Devil mom
Ever since I was a child, I could feel a dark presence lingering in me
As I got older, I could gradually hear it speaking more clearly
I was scared at first,
I would under me and my little brother's bunk bed
My little brother didn't know what was there,
So I thought that it was me that it wants dead
Come to find out the opposite, it kept visiting me, no stopping it
I shut the bedroom door, kept locking it,
Under the cover tryna hide I would often get
So much awful shit,
Going through my head I wish the thoughts would quit
I really needed someone to be talking
With, like a child therapist with a doctorate
But then again they don't deal with the
Supernatural or anything beyond the coffin, truly
They wanna put me on prescription drugs if
I told 'em that the devil was talking to me
It would've been all bad, and nobody would've sat next to Chris
Sitting all by myself in the pew during
Mass and they might've called an exorcist
You could be in fact destroyed, God is good so react with joy,
Do what you should since that's understood
You can go and be a good little Catholic boy
And it kept going on, til the night I decided to give up the fear
So I cursed and I called out his name, suddenly he just appeared
Christopher
Why don't you leave me alone? What do you want from me?
Don't be afraid.
I just want you to know that if you ever need anything I'm here for
You. There are so many great things in store
For you. If you ever need me, just speak my name
Watch when you speak of me, I peek on you frequently
I know all the deepest, darkest things that you keep secretly
He's always watching, cause he is always near
Speak of the devil, and he just may appear
Now that I am in adulthood,
And I'm filled with dreams of achieving goals
He say he can make 'em all come true all I gotta do is release my soul
I don't wanna be a failure,
I work too hard I don't wanna feel that pain
But I always turn him down,
Is that why I'm still tryna make it in the rap game?
Every day he's asking me, for my soul,
Promising cash to me,
Fame and women coming after me, giving ass to me so nastily
Even though he's so dastardly, gotta respect his tenacity,
Always showing up every time I'm at a low point,
Tryna exploit catastrophies, blasphemies,
Probably the best definition of the language that he speaks
Always tryna make a deal with me,
Every time I feel anguish at its peak,
And I wish that he'd start to flee,
Cause I reach for the light wholeheartedly,
But he knows darkness is a part of me,
It can flow through me like it's in my arteries
And he tries to appeal to that,
Try to make it look that real in fact,
He's coming for my soul but I will in
Fact, do what I gotta do to keep it still intact
He said if I ever wanna quit struggling and I wanna make the leap to
Fame, then he can provide
Everything I need, I just gotta speak his name
Look man, I keep telling you time and time again that I'm not
Selling you my soul.
So quit offering me shit.
Stay out of my head, leave me the fuck alone
Well if you ever need me, just speak my name
Watch when you speak of me, I peek on you frequently
I know all the deepest, darkest things that you keep secretly
He's always watching, cause he is always near
Speak of the devil, and he just may appear
