Lyrics
How did the leopard get his spots the story not been told
Just ask those cheeky little wart-hogs that play in the water hole
When the world was made
All the leopards were white just like polar bears
And they lived in the deep dark forests and they didn't have any cares
But one day they found that they could not hunt
For their coats were shiny bright
They could be seen for miles around even in the dead of night
How did the leopard get his spots the story not been told
Just ask those cheeky little wart-hogs that play in the water hole
One day they lay in the bushes by the waterhole's green side
But they all fell asleep in the lovely shade
Where they were supposed to hide
And the little ward-hogs played in the mud then they heard a lion roar
So they scampered off to the bushes led by daddy boar
How did the leopard get his spots the story not been told
Just ask those cheeky little wart-hogs that play in the water hole
But they didn't see the leopards sleeping in the lovely shade
And across their backs with their muddy feet
They ran what a mess they made
There were little muddy footprints across their backs
And the leopards got quite mad
But then they realized they were camouflaged
And then they were very glad
How did the leopard get his spots the story not been told
Just ask those cheeky little wart-hogs that play in the water hole
