Lyrics
Iโve heard the rumors
And the whispers told online,
Those endless murmurs
Of my uncommitted crimes.
Broken pieces of buried stories:
A bankrupt treasure fleet.
Iโve felt the trembles
And the crowing of small crowds
Butterfly ripples
Of secrets said aloud.
Expired daydreams and polished worries:
A well-paved dead-end street.
I've seen you scholars
And the things that weigh you down
I've been a scholar
I had things that weighed me down
Teammates who would rather
Not study for the round.
Teammates who Iโd rather
No longer be around.
Obscure topics and biased juries:
Why bother to compete?
It's easier to give in
To the ground beneath your feet.
It's easier to give up
Than to disavow defeat.
Unless
There's no such thing as
No such thing as gravity
There's no such thing as
No such thing as gravity
No reason to set sail on
That bankrupt treasure fleet.
Nothing but betrayal on
That well-paved dead-end street
In fact
There's no such thing as
No such thing as gravity
There's no such thing as
No such thing as gravity
No reason not to stand on
Sky and make the stars complete.
Or let go and abandon
The ground beneath my feet.
Except
Iโve spread the rumors
That grew heavy on my mind
Those costly murmurs
I know half of them were mine
Cancelled seasons and misplaced heroes:
An epic incomplete
Itโs easier to lift away
The burdens we canโt meet
Proves weโll always find a way
To overcome defeat.
But now
There's no such thing as
No such thing as gravity
Thereโs no such thing as
No such thing as gravity
No reason to set sail on
That bankrupt treasure fleet.
Nothing but betrayal on
That well-paved dead-end street
No reason not to stand on
Sky and make the stars complete.
Because
There's no such thing as
No such thing as gravity
Thereโs no such thing as
No such thing as.
