Everybody get loose, it's okay to hang around
Did somebody say it's time to tear this mutha down?
Gonna break the rules tonight, gonna cut down this bong
Gonna send the word all around the world, welcome in back home, hey
We came to get busy, y'all, let's do this
Clap your hands, come on and dance to this
Def Jeff on the mic and I'ma swing it
And I came with Etta James, so baby, sing it
Get funky like a Louisiana mud
Get funky as the bottom of a jug
Get funky till you get soaking wet
You got to show me what you can do
Get funky

Everybody bend at the knees, everybody get down
Give your mind a rest before it breaks you down
What you say now?
Get funky, move your butt to the drum sound
Whenever I hear a funky beat, then I'm bound
To put some flavor, so stay for a minute
And before I'm finished, you'll be in it to win it
Get funky as a Louisiana mud
Get funky as the bottom of a jug
Get funky till you get soaking wet
You got to show me what you can do
What you say now? Get funky
Show me a little style when you're walkin' down the street, hey
Show me a little style when you're movin' your feet
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Tell me about it
How much funk can you take? 'Cause I can make
A rhyme from the top of my mind with no mistakes
Or flaws, so go for yours and get with it
Get into it, get involved, better hit it
Get funky as a Louisiana mud
Get funky as the bottom of a jug
Get funky till you get soaking wet
You got to show me what you can do, baby
Get funky

Get loose, y'all, get loose, get loose
Just turn up the mic and give the bass a boost
So the rhyme'll sound right, 'cause I'ma get down right
Funky with Etta, and when I met her
She asked me did I have soul, I said, "You know it"
She asked could I rap, I said, "Baby, I'm a poet"
So I grabbed the pad, the pen then began with a plan
Man, I'm gettin' funky
Get funky, get funky as the bottom of a jug
Get funky, funky, funky, funky, funky, funky, funky, funky, funky
Get funky, you got to show me
You got to get funky, you got to get funky
Get funky till you get soaking wet
Funky, funky, funky, funky
Get funky, get funky
Get funky, gotta get, gotta get, gotta get funky, ooh
Get funky, funky
