Oh Lord, oh Lord
This is the story of my life
I tell it to You oh Great God
When I was walking in the darkness
There was no light around
All I felt was empty
I was gone, I was alone
Then I heard a voice call my name
A voice I've never known
It didn't sound like other voices
It didn't speak with fear
It spoke with truth and authority
And suddenly it was clear
The voice said "turn around
You don't belong here
Lift your head, come closer"
Let me make me clear
He called my name
He called my name
Out of the dark
He called my name
He said follow my voice
Take my hand
I'll lead you to where you belong again
He called my name
He called my name
And everything changed
The voice said "I am Jesus
And I'm calling you by name
The place you're standing in
Is not where you should remain
Hold my hand and follow me
Let me lead you through
I am the same God
Who called Lazarus through"
My breath was still inside me
But my life felt like a grave
The situation had me buried
But my soul still wanted faith
So I stretched my hands to Jesus
And I cried "Lord I'm ready now
If you're calling me to follow
I'll do whatever You allow"
He called my name
He called my name
Out of the dark
He called my name
He said follow my voice
Take my hand
I'll lead you to where you belong again
He called my name
He called my name
And everything changed
I feel like Lazarus in the grave
So I'm asking You to pull me out
Open my eyes, show me the road
Break every chain, remove the doubt
Cover me under Your blood
Let Your light surround me now
Take me out of where I was
And place me on holy ground
You speak life where death was standing
You call forth what was too far gone
If You did it then You'll do it now
You're the God who moves the stone
(He called my name)
He called my name (He called my name)
He called my name (and the light)
And the light came rushing in (oh-ooh)
He took my hand (He called my name)
He showed the way (He showed the way)
And I will never lose it again
He called my name
He called my name
And I am found
Jesus took me
And He placed me in the light
He said I'll keep you here
And you'll never lose your way again
I don't know where I went
But Jesus Christ found me
