Way down in the jungle, deep in the sticks
Animals had a pool hall where they dug they kicks
Up come the monkey from the coconut grove
Sharp as a tack around the corner he drove
He was a sharp motherfuh yuh
Ready to shave 'em dry
He wore a tan colored suit, a two-button stack
Long-toe alligator shoes, drove a black Cadillac
Fine leather stump, customized to fit his rump
Said, "I'ma coon you ugly critters 'til your eyeballs jump
I'm a playin' motherfuh yuh
Ready to shave y'all dry"
ย
Now the monkey started playin' wild aces
While they was disagreein'
Pulled a switch on the deck that wasn't never seen
Mr. Baboon played a seven, he fished a five
Ice waters jumped from the monkey's eyes
He was cryin' motherfuh yuh
Lord, they shaved him dry
ย
Baboon got up, carried a monkey on his back
In an unknown speech, he fell in with a jack
Monkey said, "Brother, this time you win
Lean way back," said, "I'm gon' try it again
I'll be back at you motherfuh yuh
Ready to shave y'all dry"
ย
Mr. Baboon raised some raised and they went for broke
Monkey fired up a joint, said "Have a little toke"
Police raided the joint for the baboon guitar
Them monkeys smoke reefer like some drink alcohol
Plus some high motherfuh yuh
Ready to shave 'em dry now
ย
You know, there aren't many animals back in the jungle
Some of them are stone legs
Some is some grooves and hicks
Some is even tame
You know, some been way long in the game
Talkin' 'bout Mr. Ape, funky little skunk
Named Pepรฉ Le Pew, Lippie the Lion, Brer Rabbit
Big old bear named Pooh
A homebody named Pink Panther
Ugly old sucker named Bullwinkle the Moose
Big stud they called Puddin' and the Bull
Total jackass called Francis the Talking Mule
Cat named Garfield, Sylvester too
Yogi Bear and his runnin' partner Boo Boo
Heckle and Jeckle, Tweety Bird, Coo Coo
Magilla Gorilla and the Road Runner look totally pooped
Bad Manny and Devil, all them critters want to hear the scoop
They want to know all about it
Just what the monkey and the baboon was about to do
ย
Monkey capped on Mr. Baboon like he was known to do
Your orangutan is mines and yours and somebody else's too
Got a thing goin' on with me and brother Kangaroo
Every day we schoolin' up on stuff you never knew
Baboon got his straight razor, looked the monkey in his eye
Said, "I'll be the one, sucker, to cut you down to size
And you better know I'm ready
Ready to shave your ass dry now"
ย
Baboon had hisself a bad set of wheels
Filing Mr. Monkey to the court of appeals
Soon as the judge said two years and a thousand dollar fine
Laughed 'til he heard his side, thinkin' 'bout the monkey doin' time
Gettin' locked down with all them coyotes in the woods
Bein' bored like he can't keep his mouth shut
Laughed thinkin' 'bout the way that monkey signified
Even then somebody else gon' shave his ass dry
Monkey capped on orangutan, didn't know what for
Better learn to wield a shank 'fore he get his ass cut
Monkey chitterlings might be spillin' from the holes in his gut
Might get cut loose with a few extra holes in his butt
Dangerous in the jungle where it's full of fruits and nuts
Laugh thinkin' 'bout monkey's good-bye
And maybe one of them rat stankers
Gonna shave his ass dry now, yeah
ย
Way back in the jungle where it's deep in the sticks
They got their share of rum-dums, grooves and hicks
Where Mr. Monkey cap on all the cats and they chicks
Might go upside his head stompin' just for kicks
You live in the jungle, you better be ready to die
Somebody like me might shave your ass dry
Ha ha ha ha, ha ha ha ha ha ha
