Pa-pa-pa-pa My bald dad is way too fucking cool for a toupรฉe
My little brother won't stop playing NBA, 2K!
My girl says I should make some real hip-hop, like Lupe
And stop saying you bitch in every song
Touchรฉ!
Damn, I have no money when I need it
These days I don't seem to get the munchies when I 'm weeded
Last song was hella hoppin', and never caught a buzz
I guess I'm not the famous rapper that I thought I was
I'm always late to the venue
I'm always ready to order
I never check out the menu
Then you, quickly realize you passed on the right dish
And when your homeys play the rap
You gonna ask for a bite shit
Then you, hit the stage and realize none of your people showed up
Instead of feeling crunchy, you blame it on your promoter
Then you, tell your friends they offend you
You don't feel any better than you did, but you pretend to
I had to check my attitude to get
I'm too high, egos too high
I had to calm down
Who's the cool guy now?
I'm King Lear
I'm King Lear
A human being
I'm King Lear
Yesterday a blogger told me switch up my style
I need a little more hipster, a little less of Lachow
Maybe then they right about the track you worked so long on
Maybe then you'll find the fucking blog to put your song on
Damn, Sam
Is that what YouTube needs?
Another stoner white rapper on your YouTube screen?
I keep telling myself I'm happening
The hottest kid in Manhattan
I'm rapping around my thoughts
With a maker's mark on the rocks
My ladies love me, how bitching is that?
I like to show off to my friends
Although women are bad
So when I'm feeling insecure about my lyrics and raps
I just cure my insecurities securing with that
When I'm in Seattle
I'm feeling sort of important
Then I fly down to New York
And see how enormous the world is
I'd like to make a song that makes the Earth a better place
But I'm not a king, I guess I'd better wait
I had to check my attitude to get
I'm too high, egos too high
I had to calm down
Who's the cool guy now?
I'm King Lear
I'm King Lear
A human being
I'm King Lear
I'm not a God, I'm not a king
I'm just a human being that's alive
And I give thanks to the Almighty gravity
That keeps the kingdom on the ground
Cause it gets me when I come down
I'm so high
I need to open my eyes, I need to open my mind
And so do you
And so do you...
I love more then word can be of the matter
I love each breath...
