Thank you
We're just bantering
Yeah, this is just banter
There's songs and then there's banter
Don't, don't freak out
It's all part of being a band
We're just talking
It's basically just talking
It is just talking
Yeah, just professional
Just a professional version of talking, if you like
We just banter, banter with each other
We banter with the crowd
Just like "Hello"
Just, that's an example of
Just working in with that guy
Finding out a bit about him
What are you, a guy or something?
Just like, just
What's that? Are you having a drink?
Okay
Just, you know, just building up a
Rapport with the people of the crowd
Me and Brett just bam, bam, firing off each other
Yeah, we're a bit faster
What's happening?
How you, how you going?
I'm just sitting here
That's not a great example of one, but
But that was new, that was new, we made that up
That's a fresh one, that's improvised
We've done some great ones
Do you guys know the one, the bank one?
You guys heard the bank one?
Oh, that was a classic back in New Zealand
Just one gig
It was actually me
I asked Brett what he did that day
And he'd gone to the bank
So I said I went to the bank, you know
And the New Zealand crowd, they just loved it
They went
They went apeshit
They went totally sheep shit
They really did
They went, yeah, baaallistic
Yeah, classic, classic
You'll hear that one again tomorrow night
It was ewe-mongous
I'm not sure what just happened to our act
We just slipped into a new pun section
Yeah, we shouldn't have started that
It was that person's fault who made a noise
It may not be a person, it may be a sheep
It's hard to tell with the lights in our face
Anyway, the bank thing, you know
Everyone was, people loved it
Oh, that's right, oh God
From then on, you know
Whenever we play in New Zealand, it's like
You know, what did you do today?
Jermaine says, and the whole crowd
Went to the bank
I mean, people just expect it
That's great
You know, even on, once we did it on a Sunday, which was crazy
The bank's not even open
Shut, is it?
I was clearly lying, but everyone just plays along
They just loved it
I think they even loved it even more
I think, yeah
It was really, really great
That was one of our best gigs
Yeah
Okay, so this next song isn't really for humans
It's more for robots in the future
Okay, okay
One or two of you out there
So it's more like when all the humans are dead
Being destroyed by the robots
It's just a song for them to celebrate
We're just trying to think of future music markets, really
Yeah, we thought it would have happened by now
But, you know, it will happen
And I, you know, I can tell by the way you're looking at us
You're going Flight of the Conchords
When all the humans are dead
You're not really gonna pick up the royalties from your music
Because you, as being humans, you're gonna be dead too
And, you know, that's a good point
