I was only in the womb
Before I could do wrong or good
My Creator called my name
And chose to love me
But my brother was the one who
Should have been the special son
For he in status and character was above me
So far above me
I am Jacob
(I'm unsure what the words of this line are)
Child of Abraham and Isaac
I have not earned what I partake of
I am Jacob, I am Jacob
I have sinned like all men
And yet despite of who I am
His benevolence to me still increases, increases
The more I live the more I find
I'm so suprised by His designs
For He is the God who truly
Does as He pleases
I am Jacob
(I'm unsure of this line)
Child of Abraham and Isaac
I have not earned what I partake of
I am Jacob, I am Jacob
I have lied, I have deceived
I have been driven by my greed
I don't deserve what I partake of
I am Jacob, I am Jacob
This God who knows me
Loves me, called me
I don't know why
I am Jacob
(I'm unsure of this line)
Child of Abraham and Isaac
I have not earned what I partake of
I am Jacob, I am Jacob
I have lied, I have deceived
I have been driven by my greed
I don't deserve what I partake of
I am Jacob, I am Jacob
