Lyrics
This rock that I'm climbing gets rough along the way
My fingers are so sore, they're only made of clay
And the soles of my shoes are tattered and they're worn
But I'm determined to keep on climbing 'til I reach Heaven's door
This rock is Jesus
And He loves us
The road to my salvation isn't always smooth
When I get weaker
He gets stronger
When you can't hold to the rock
The rock holds on to you
When you're climbing a mountain and hope is growing dim
Your strength is almost gone, you feel like giving in
Oh, just reach for a stronghold and rest for a while
And the rock will give you the strength you need to climb another mile
This rock is Jesus
And He loves us
The road to my salvation isn't always smooth
When I get weaker
He gets stronger
When you can't hold to the rock
The rock holds on to you
This rock is Jesus
And He loves us
The road to my salvation isn't always smooth
When I get weaker
He gets stronger
When you can't hold to the rock
The rock holds on to you
When you can't hold to the rock
The rock holds on to you
