Australia is an island out in the Pacific
That's mostly a desert
Australia is a lesson in what isolation and distance can do
A land of unlikely animals
So strange they couldn't possibly be true
ย
The platypus is venomous
But only aggressive when cornered and frightened
A baby kangaroo will hide inside her mother's pouch till she's grown
Koalas are my favorite
Cause koalas much prefer to be alone
In Australia
The snakes will kill you
The jellyfish will kill you too
Maybe it's better that I'll only ever see them in a zoo
ย
Australia is the evidence that we call nature is not always normal
It also is financially a destination out of my reach
But I don't mind
I'd rather be alone inside my room
Than on the beach
In Australia
Seasons are backwards
So December is in summer
Dressing like Santa in a tropical zone sounds like a major bummer
Australia is an island out in the Pacific
That's mostly a desert
Australia is a lesson in what isolation and distance can do
A land of unlikely animals
So strange they couldn't possibly
Be true
