Hit 'em with a bow wow wow, yippy yo, yippy yay
We throwin' it back
Blast from the past, so where ya 40's at?
This the old school era
'Cause you know I'm a funky playa
We throwin' it back
Blast from the past, so where ya 40's at?
This the old school era
'Cause you know I'm a funky playa
Ayo, kick back, relax and feel the funk
With that phat bass thump, yeah we just chillin' son
'Cause ya can't do it right without the speakers knockin'
And the party don't end unless police are stoppin'
This ain't for no gang, it's for the music, believe me
But gimme a beat, then I'm ruthless as Eazy
'Cause I give instrumentals a 1-8-7
So don't make me have to give these punks a lesson
I'm no D.O.C. but it's Funky Enough
This a New Jersey take so I'm pumping it up
So come and get some while I'm bumping them drums
My style is sick made like Brotha Lynch Hung
'Cause my mind's Kurupt like I'm Daz's homie
I'm just keepin' it real, no cappin' only
So whether you're vibin', kickin' back with Smokey
Or on the dance floor, you gotta blast this, homie
Yeah
We throwin' it back
Blast from the past, so where ya 40's at?
This the old school era
'Cause you know I'm a funky playa
We throwin' it back
Blast from the past, so where ya 40's at?
This the old school era
'Cause you know I'm a funky playa
Cruising down the street (Cruising)
Bouncing to the beat (Bouncing)
Come and shake it baby (Shake it baby)
Girl, bounce, bounce with me
Cruising down the street (Cruising)
Bouncing to the beat (Bouncing)
Come and shake it baby (Shake it baby)
Girl, bounce, bounce with me
Picture me rollin' like I'm cruisin' in a six-fo'
As I spit flows that been dope to bring in dough
I do this for the music but I gotta get my money
Ya better bow down when we catching dubs, see
I'm no gangsta, not even when in studios
And this ain't no paradise, I learned from Coolio
But if I never knew of the Doc through Shady
I would've never known of these old school Dre beats
And through that, the G-funk era as a whole
Otherwise, it's classics I never woulda known
But this wouldn't be here without George Clinton's Parliament
And right here in Jersey is where they started in
So this Westside connection no doubt was a must
'Cause NJ, LA, the Bay, all down with the funk
From coast to coast, got the East and West linkin'
And it's the T-H-E-R-Z that got ya heads ringin'
We throwin' it back
Blast from the past, so where ya 40's at?
This the old school era
'Cause you know I'm a funky playa
We throwin' it back
Blast from the past, so where ya 40's at?
This the old school era
'Cause you know I'm a funky playa
Cruising down the street (Cruising)
Bouncing to the beat (Bouncing)
Come and shake it baby (Shake it baby)
Girl, bounce, bounce with me
Cruising down the street (Cruising)
Bouncing to the beat (Bouncing)
Come and shake it baby (Shake it baby)
Girl, bounce, bounce with me
We Jersey boys here showing California love
Good thing it's Friday, so time to pour it up
It's just another day where I'm chasing dollar signs
Got my mind on my money, and money on my mind
It ain't nothin' but a G thang ba-bae
Everybody's celebratin' like it's Dre Day
Today I didn't have to use my AK
But regulate like Warren G and Nate, hey
I'm gettin' loose, sippin' on some Gin and Juice
Still slick and smooth, mingle with a chick or two
Tell the DJ's they better replay this
'cause tonight we way too funky like DJ Quik
Let me ride on this joint like the hits from the chronic
Bumping like Impalas with some hydraulics
Got all eyes on me like it's peak Death Row
Salute to the whole West Coast
We throwin' it back
Blast from the past, so where ya 40's at? (Where ya 40's at?)
This the old school era (Old school era)
'Cause you know I'm a funky playa (Funky playa)
We throwin' it back (We throwin' it back)
Blast from the past, so where ya 40's at? (Where ya 40's at?)
This the old school era (Yeah)
'Cause you know I'm a funky playa (Woah-oh-woah)
