Somewhere across is coming joy
There's a peaceful land a-rest
A land for to us, by the maker
For those the savior has blessed
When we gather at the porter
There will be no more goodbyes
We dwell in that fair land and immortal
And that's to a home high
One said that parting is with sorrow
One by one, we all must go
For that bright and fair tomorrow
We will meet to part no more
And when this war of life is over
When we rest from toil and stride
We'll sing and shout our troubles over
For God's promise is internal life
(For God's promise is eternal life)
