Lyrics
Pick my banjo on the weekend, makin' music with my friends
Hardly make a livin', but the good times never end
Ain't got no boss man, no time to clock in
'Cause I'm a five string picker in a second string band
Brother Stickley's on the guitar and he'll play your favorite song
When the free beer starts a-pourin', he'll be pickin' all night long
Bobby's sawin' on that fiddle though he can barely stand
And I'm a five string picker in a second string band
Yeah, we'll play your wedding, your birthday party too
But pig pickin's are our favorite 'cause we live on the free food
And Carolina bluegrass is the best in the land
I'm a five string picker in a second string band
Pick my banjo on the weekend, makin' music with my friends
Hardly make a livin', but the good times never end
Ain't got no boss man, no time to clock in
'Cause I'm a five string picker in a second string band
I'm a five string picker in a second string band
