Lyrics
Once upon the seas of Abyssinia
A cultured man with rings within his earlobes
Locked the door from which the sun arose
A man of noon with shadows on his cheekbones
Screamed for sleep to use him as a pillow
His robes of chintz were wilting in the snows
The stars with ice embedded in their footprints
Wept sweet words from our remembered childhood
Poets of the skies looked long and hard
Once upon the seas of Abyssinia
A cultured man with rings within his earlobes
Locked the door from which the sun arose
