Lyrics
Step right up
Watch me dance and sing
I'm movin' over
To the center ring
To tell you something
That I've found
I'm tired of being your private clown
Put on my make up
And my baggy clothes
I'll keep you laughin' baby
With my funny red nose
Your favorite part is when I'm fallin' down
I'm tired of being your private clown
I've been in your side show a little too long
Even the rooms know what's goin' on
I walk your tightrope, I shovel your stuff
This little fool has had enough
Now here's the prize
In your cracker jacks
I'm packing my tent now baby
And I won't be back
Your personal circus is leaving town
I'm tired of being your private clown
Your person circus is leaving town, oh yeah
I'm tired of being your private clown
You don't get no two weeks notice
I'm tired of being your private clown
No forwarding address
I'm tired of being your private clown
