Lyrics
Well I've known doormen and bouncers tougher than steel
A moonlighting cop and an ex-navy seal
There's only one thing that'll give 'em a scare:
It's running into the girls when they're out on the tear
If you bedlam, and mayhem, and mischief and mime
The worst in the band doesn't bite things combined
They'll put fear in the hearts of the stoutest of men
God help us, it's girl's night in Galway again
Well we hoped for a quiet chat down at the pub
But it's bachelorette night at the ol' Ocean Dove
20 stout lads hiding back in the loo
Afraid for their lives at what the ladies might do
Donned up for the night in their rouge and mascara
High leather boots and a plastic tiara
Sipping on cosmos and vodka with lime
And then it's Red Bull and Jager bombs, two at a time
If you bedlam, and mayhem, and mischief and mine
The worst in the band doesn't bite things combined
They'll put fear in the hearts of the stoutest of men
God help us, it's girl's night in Galway again
Then all in a pack they'll descend on the band
Tear the lead singer's mic from his trembling hand
Falling into the amps and the drums with a crash
And now they butcher Bon Jovi and poor Johnny Cash
At the disco they're practicing moves and gyrations
In some foreign countries, would be violations
Some gullible lads thought they'd try for a dance
Sure like lambs to the slaughter they hadn't a chance
If you bedlam, and mayhem, and mischief and mine
The worst in the band doesn't bite things combined
They'll put fear in the hearts of the stoutest of men
God help us, it's girl's night in Galway again
Now as the sun rises up at a quarter to five
The city of Galway has somehow survived
We come out of hiding when the ruckus dies down
Till next week when the girls will be back on the town
If you bedlam, and mayhem, and mischief and mine
The worst in the band doesn't bite things combined
They'll put fear in the hearts of the stoutest of men
God help us, it's girl's night in Galway again
