Relationships ain't been the same between friends or my exes
Ever since opportunity came, I took it and went absent
Never considered the same homie that used to always kick it
Just bottled up potential that was potentially wasted
I could've been in ya crew, fucking wit bitches, poppin
I could've been the same guy I was before I started
Or dead cause I said some to someone with heat that was heated
Or chasing highs 'cause of how low I been in circumstances
But here I am, not considered an intellectual
Still not taken serious by these irrelevant people
Relevance is ignorance measured by critical
Statements from people who ain't even fucking fit to be physical
With verbal obstructions against somebody who's had it all
I've had enough, don't need no one no more to be asking me what's wrong
I been on my own since day one, I'll do it again, no trouble
Just let me be alone if you gon make me struggle
'Cause it's a love hate thing, I'm tired but I want more
Core values ain't there, just superficial galore
Got very few real ones out here that wanna see me score
The rest just wanna see me at the bottom of a leaderboard
Well I'm sorry to finally disappoint but I got support
The shit I always wanted since I was fucking born
The shit my dad couldn't give 'cause he was financially poor
I finally made it somewhere in my mind where goals aren't being torn
I been in my fucking bedroom, recording everything I feel
Instead of fucking with counterfeits, hoping to get that seal
Of approval or trying to get a fucking record deal
Praying for someone to save me when I could do myself
This for hip hop, this for culture, this for everything I stand for
This for all the homies that supported even when I fell short
These the bloody notes I wrote for y'all when I lost hope
Signed by Hunter Dane, recorded by his fucking ghost, damn
