The speaker sounds angry, defensive, and determined to resist pressure from other people or a system. The repeated wish to “liberate” their madness suggests wanting to release feelings that have been held back, rather than hide them. The emotion shifts between confrontation and exhaustion: the speaker rejects others’ influence, yet also asks how long this distress has been present and says they do not need it.

Several images make that struggle vivid. “Put a wall up” suggests emotional isolation as a way to protect oneself. Keeping “the dog at bay” implies trying to control a threatening inner impulse or problem, though the lyrics do not explain exactly what it is. “Your garbage in is garbage out” borrows the idea that poor input produces poor results; here it accuses others of spreading harmful or empty ideas. The repeated cry of “Fraud” may be a charge against someone else, or an expression of disgust with falsehood more broadly.

The lyrics can be read as a demand for independence, but the speaker’s defiance is not simple confidence. Their claims of strength sit beside references to darkness, sickness, fear, and betrayal, suggesting that anger may be both a shield and a sign of pain. “One of me, all of you” is especially ambiguous: it may contrast an individual with a crowd, or suggest that the speaker feels surrounded and outnumbered.
