Astro

The lyrics are a playful, repetitive list of people who might “do the astro.” They name Jasper, Lily, Jackson, Mama, Tesla, and Edison, but never explain exactly what the astro is. The repeated “maybe” makes the song feel light and uncertain, as if the singer is guessing or inviting listeners to join in.

“Does the astro” seems to refer to an activity, dance, or made-up routine, though the words do not define it. Repeating each name turns the phrase into a chant, emphasizing its sound more than its story. The ending shifts to Tesla and Edison, then mentions “AC/DC,” a phrase for alternating and direct electrical current; it may be a playful reference to electricity, or simply another funny-sounding association.

The song can be heard as nonsense humor rather than a puzzle with one definite answer. The names may suggest different kinds of people joining the same activity, but the lyrics do not tell us who they are or why they are included. The final line adds a new idea without resolving the meaning of “astro,” so the ending keeps the song’s odd, open-ended mood.
