Billy's just about my age
And he's living in this small cage
Wondering what to do with his life
Well, isn't he a bit like you and I?
All he wanna do is drink and
All he never do is think and
'Bout the time he's spending at our work
I can't decide if he's a genius or a jerk
He said, "I never work on Mondays
I never work on Tuesdays
Don't even work on Wednesdays
Or Thursdays or Fridays
I never work on Mondays
I never work on Tuesdays
Don't even work on Wednesdays
Or Thursdays or Fridays"
Now, what about me? I'm just about your age
And my life has turned into a new page
I had a home and I had a girl
She ran out on me, so now I'm all alone
Everybody wants to have someone
Everybody wants to be something
I count the days and I count the girls
But the weekend is too short to fall in love
So he said, "I never work on Mondays
I never work on Tuesdays
Don't even work on Wednesdays
Or Thursdays or Fridays"
No, no, no
ย
No, no, no
(I never work on Mondays
I never work on Tuesdays)
I don't even work on Wednesdays
Or Thursdays or Fridays
I never work on Mondays
I never work on Tuesdays
Don't even work on Wednesdays
Or Thursdays or Fridays
Change your world if you want to
And do whatever you wanna do
You maybe wanna scream and shout
Or educate yourself to an astronaut
Don't let anyone else rule
You're the teacher in your own school
So if your boss brings you down to your knees
Then get up, stand up, jump and sing with me
I never work on Mondays
I never work on Tuesdays
I never work on Wednesdays
Or Thursdays or Fridays
I never work on Mondays
I never work on Tuesdays
I never work on Wednesdays
Or Thursdays or Fridays
Oh, no, I never work at all
No, I never work at all
Oh, no, no, no, I never work on Mondays
I never work at all
No, no, no, no, no, no
