I know you'll probably say "told you so,"
But I'd rather fail and face the shame
Than spend the rest of my days wondering
What if I had tried to make a change.
They said "I told you so." I said, "so what?"
Surrounded by know-it-alls, but nothing solves sittin' on thumbs.
This ain't my first rodeo, I pursue what I want.
What would I do to hold value, grab the bull by its horns.
I'd rather try and fail than fail to try at all, never knowing.
What don't kill me make me strong enough to steer where I'm going.
Through these trials and tribulations I've been patiently sewing.
Some try to reap what I'm growing, but at my stitches they gloating.
Poking at the process, joking at my losses,
Loathing talking nonsense, but nope, I will not forfeit.
Even when the odds colossus, I will be accomplished.
What you're telling me's not a rule, but a goal to stand on top of.
Blowing all that smoke don't kill my hope, but wake a monster.
And I will shoot my best shot like a rocket launcher.
Entrepreneur ways of doing what I wanna. Tell me so,
But I rule my own medulla oblongata.

You'll probably say "told you so."
(Instrumental)
I know you'll probably say "told you so,"
But I'd rather fail and face the shame
Than spend the rest of my days wondering
What if I had tried to make a change.
Been knocked down, gotten up, and brought down again.
Knocked out, slept on it, dreamt of ways to win.
Woke up wrestling, pondering on ideas and then
Attacked the task till at last success, a champion.
Lot of folks in my circle toxic, few are in my corner pocket,
And if I could get a quarter for every time I head a hater knockin'
Down my idea before I dare try exploring options,
Think I'd have a quarter mil, then bet against my odds and profit.
Learn on my own, gotta see for myself.
Became my own man and yeah, occasionally I may fail.
Find the flaw and fix 'em, then get back on the trail.
Find and seek a vision, follow through and prevail, well, well...
What some say, "yeah you told me so,"
But so on and so forth, I've been working towards a change.
Not until you make it do you make sense to some folks,
But those that matter work with you to reach a higher plane.
I know you'll probably say "told you so,"
But I'd rather fail and face the shame
Than spend the rest of my days wondering
What if I had tried to make a change.
I know you'll probably say "told you so,"
But I'd rather fail and face the shame
Than spend the rest of my days wondering
What if I had tried to make a change.
