Today seemed like another day unlike any other
And it caught me by surprise when I heard a distant thunder
After all, the forecast called for
Sunny skies without a chance of rain
But a cloud is a-comin', God is up to
Somethin' the weatherman can't explain
Showers of blessing, hope and refreshing
I've been prayin' up a storm
Askin' for a flood of His sweet love
There's nothin' I'm needin' more
Than for Him to swing open the windows of glory and let it pour
God is sending cool water cleansing showers of blessings
No matter where I find myself, the valley or the mountain
When my soul is runnin' dry, He opens up a fountain
And out of His faithfulness and mercy, He causes a mighty wind to blow
Stirrin' up the Heavens, causin' them to let His grace and mercy flow
Showers of blessing, hope and refreshing
I've been prayin' up a storm
Askin' for a flood of His sweet love
There's nothin' I'm needin' more
Than for Him to swing open the windows of glory and let it pour
God is sending cool water cleansing showers of blessings
I don't need my umbrella, I wanna soak it in
When it starts comin' down, I'll thank Him once again
Showers of blessing, hope and refreshing
I've been prayin' up a storm
Askin' for a flood of His sweet love
There's nothin' I'm needin' more
Than for Him to swing open the windows of glory and let it pour
God is sending cool water cleansing showers of blessings
Showers (Showers), showers, showers of blessings
Showers (Showers), showers, showers of blessings
Showers, showers of blessings
