(Yeah, yeah), yeah
Right now, a nigga just feelin' real good
Thankful for everything that's goin' down for me right now (that's right)
For all this happiness an' success (yeah, thank you, thank you)
A nigga just straight thankful for everything, you know? (Thank you, thank you)
You think it's easy being me? Nah, hold on, dawg
Let me explain something to all of y'all
I got a mama an' a daddy (uh-huh), three brothers, no sisters
Some cousins, uncles, nephews, and nieces (what?)
Ain't nothin' to say, the least is hectic
With two boys of my own, spanky damn near grown
Sittin' in his room just bangin' my songs (20 minutes)
As I roll another joint an' make a call on the phone (what's up?)
It's Pretty Tony it's on an' crackin', my nigga
It's ya big bro, I heard ya rappin', my nigga
Everybody get in, mama's doin' this rap thing
I'm thankful for my lil' brother ain't in the hood bangin'
Just be thankful for all ya got
If it's just a little bit, it's all ya got
You might not have a car or big gold chain
Stay true to yourself an' thangs will change
Just be thankful for all ya got
If it's just a little bit, it's all ya got
You might not have a car or big gold chain
Stay true to yourself an' thangs will change (check this out real quick)
Man, my sister been gone for about ten months
Steady smokin' blunts an' fuckin' wit' the same cunt
But it's time to make a change (a change)
So I rock up my rhymes like crack Kokane
I'm in the game, much love to my nigga Snoop, whad up?
It wouldn't be crackin' without you
I wouldn't be standin' in them black walla C's
I'd be back in the hood with them G's
From kidnaps an' jacks, knockouts an' craps
From tottin' Tech-9's to shankin' on da main line
Times is hard, we all caught up in da struggle
Whites, Blacks, Mexicans it's trouble
Young kids, we got a man-made disease
I lost my mom, so now I'm prayin' on my knees
Did y'all take care of y'all, so love was precious
Now I got my daddy, sisters an' homies, God bless us
Just be thankful for all ya got
If it's just a little bit, it's all ya got
You might not have a car or big gold chain
Stay true to yourself an' thangs will change
Just be thankful for all ya got
If it's just a little bit, it's all ya got
You might not have a car or big gold chain
Stay true to yourself an' thangs will change (yo, yo)
We been through some tough times, mom late on rent
Tryin' to get mine, hustlin' like Larry Flynt
No food in the fridge, but we wasn't alarmed
'Cause my brother was like a good neighbour then like State Farm
Peoples always sayin' what they need an' want
But they need to start wit' they dos an' don'ts
Just be thankful for day to day
An' everything will be goin' ya way (uh, uh, uh)
Now ain't it odd to thank God, we movin' in gangsta toyed
We live an' die by the sword, an' still we thank the Lord
From the maternity ward to the morgue, I count my blessings
It's a game, the shit can't afford (yeah), but I ain't stressin'
I'm E-S-in' for mines, it's all gonna pay off in the long run
An' no rest on the grind, man, a nigga just out here on one
Stayin' strong all alone or hangin' wit' my clique
I write a song, right or wrong, I'm really bangin' this shit
I used to wonder why we had it so rough (so tough)
My momma was my anchor, an' for that I can't thank ya enough
You might not have a car or big gold chain
Stay true to yourself an' thangs will change
Just be thankful for all ya got
If it's just a little bit, it's all ya got
You might not have a car or big gold chain
Stay true to yourself an' thangs will change
