I got rainstorm fever
So now I got the flu
I got rainstorm fever
A rotten cold is all I knew
Whoa oh yeah
I got it while out swimming
With a couple of pals of mine
Down at the old Blue River
The whole place theirs and mine
The doctor says
That I can't go out with my friends
He's an old git
But my mum, she agrees with him
I got rainstorm fever
We all get it now and then
Stupid rainstorm fever
No known cure'll make us well again
ย
Catch it in the drizzle
Catch it in the hail
I was caught all through the summer
And the heat wouldn't pay my bail
Now I'm in bed
With my blankets around my head
But soon as I'm up
I'll be down in the woods again
Yes, I will
ย
My dad caught a chill
You'd think he was deathly ill
He's got it now still
And he's tried every kind of pill
Nothing works
ย
Nasty rainstorm fever
Keeping me in all day
Can't even open the window
Or in'll fly influenza, yay
The symptoms are clear
Yes, it even blocks up your ears
But don't try aspirin
Or you might get hemorrhaging
Very nasty, oh yeah
ย
Well, I got rainstorm fever
So now I got the flu
I got rainstorm fever
A rotten cold is all I knew
Whoa oh yes
Rainstorm fever (Rainstorm fever)
Rainstorm fever (That's what I got)
Oh (Oh)
Rainstorm fever
