Driving home from Lexington all I could hear were those tires spinning
No I didn't even want the radio on
I had two hours till I got home and all I could think about was my phone
And whether or not I should make that call
I decided to stop to clear my mind so I could think about something besides your eyes And that night
I ended up in a bar with my guitar
In some little town that we call Bards
Singing about you and what we've been through
Cuz I
I don't wanna call your phone
But I'm on my way back home
Because I'm all alone
And I'm missing
You
I can only think about you
In every town I pass through
I'm singing these Bluegrass Blues
On my way to you
I was back on parkway later that night and the blue moon of Kentucky was shining like Your eyes when you smile
I was halfway home and all I could think is how the love of my life is 80 miles away but Wondering if she still felt the same
Cuz I
I don't wanna call your phone
But I'm on my way back home
Because I'm all alone
And I'm missing
You
I can only think about you
In every town I pass through
I'm singing these Bluegrass Blues
On my way to you
When I made it home girl I didn't know what to do
Should I make a left or make a right and head straight to you
Then I thought about why I even came all this way
The only reason I would ever come back to this place
It's you
You're reason I'm on the road
The reason I'm on the phone
Telling you that I'm home
And I'm missing
You
I could only think about you
In every town I passed through
I was singing those Bluegrass Blues
On my way to you
On my way to you
I was singing those Bluegrass Blues
On my way to you
On my way to you
I was singing those Bluegrass Blues
On my way to you
