Lyrics
The world and its cares gently fade away
While snow blows on throughout the day
Winter beauty is hidden from those in bed still lay
But beauty awaits those who wake for a snow day
Thankful for God's creation beauty on this Lord's Day
Thankful for God's peace always in His way
Thankful to God' glory and then say
Thankful to God for the wonder of a snow day
A day with no school buses driving on the highway
A day to come out in the snow for each child's play
Hoping to make a hill a new wintry freeway
A day to try out a friend's candy apple red sleigh
The world and its cares gently fade away
While snow blows on throughout the day
Winter beauty is hidden from those in bed still lay
But beauty awaits those who wake for a snow day
Hills covered in a blanket of white no weight to weigh
Snowflakes swirl down to music of their own ballet
Large puffy clouds now turn the sky to a steel grey
Fresh flakes pile up into new piles in the doorway
The world and its cares gently fade away
While snow blows on throughout the day
Winter beauty is hidden from those in bed still lay
But beauty awaits those who wake for a snow day
Each flake struggling grows heavier on its way
Falling to the white blanket across the fresh hay
Flakes coming down greater than before to downplay
Making a beautiful picture through the window to display
Thankful for God's creation beauty on this Lord's Day
Thankful for God's peace always in His way
Thankful to God' glory and then say
Thankful to God for the wonder of a snow day
