Lyrics
You may think I'm silly to love a man twice my age
But I know from experience, girls, sometimes it pays
The man I've got, the fire's almost gone
He can't heat up nobody's house
He's got just enough to keep him warm
I'd rather be an old man's sweetheart
Than to be a young man's fool
Yeah, yeah
Good lovin' once a month is all an old man desires
You can love a young man seven days a week
And still he ain't satisfied
An old man would be so grateful
You could just sit and talk
While a young man is somewhere
Doin' the camel walk
I'd rather be an old man's sweetheart
Than to be a young man's fool
Don't wanna be no fool
Most girls prefer a young man
'Cause a young man is strong
But I'd rather put up with this old man
Than have a young man do me wrong
An old man would be so thankful
You could just sit and talk
While a young man's somewhere busy
Doin' the camel walk
I'd rather be an old man's sweetheart
Than to be a young man's fool
Hey, hey
Now you may think I'm silly to love a man twice my age
But I know from experience, girls, sometimes it pays
The man I've got, the fire's almost gone
He can't heat up nobody's house
He's got just enough to keep him warm
I'd rather be an old man's sweetheart
Than to be a young man's fool
Ooh, fool
Don't wanna be no fool
I'd rather put up with my old man
Than to be a fool
I don't need no young man
To be no fool
I just want my old man
I don't wanna be no fool
Won't be no fool, boy
Won't be no fool
