Look
Back then when the vibes were super
The trim was a high top, creps were a high top too
Everybody rocked Supra
And we never had cash, just driving and ratings
Bro, we was literally Uber
Still on my Daniel Kaluuya
Just a young man trynna get out
Cause where I'm from, everybody's in chains
And we ain't got a jeweller
In a rock and a hard place, we ain't have stonies
Just man tryna say that they know me
I've heard a man say that I got cold creps
Never heard a man tell me I got cold feet
Cause I was out on the streets on my lonely
Back when a nigga had no step
I was starting to fall like I had no soul
And it's probably cause I wore old creps
And niggas can't walk a mile in my shoes so I can get rid of these old creps
One foot in the game with no bread
How am I meant to progress
When mum keeps saying I'm absent
And my girl keeps saying I'm abstract
Cause these days she don't feel me
I've been off the wall like I'm trynna bring vans back
Been off the wall cause I only have flashbacks
To the times when we never had credit
You have to rob man if you wanna get cash back
Cap a man's friend and just pray he don't snapback
We were just kids forced to be bad man
Cause we had drive, with no direction
Have you ever had a road trip without a sat nav?
Have you been innocent living in gangland?
Have you ever laid your cards on the table
They're telling you "go fish" when it was blackjack
That's how I felt when I had ideas
But I never had funding to back that
Back then when the vibes were simple
The morale was low, the creps were a low one too
Everybody rocked plimsolls
Old creps
Can't believe I'm still in these old creps
Yeah
