Lyrics
Surrounded by a city out on the western plains
Where cowboys and Indians used to roam
In a little shack with his keepsakes and memories
Lives an old cowboy all alone
In old leather holsters
Showing signs of wear
Hangs two old fashioned fourty-fours
The notches that's carved on the handle of his gun
Tells quickly the story of the battles that they've won
An old pented pony waiting up there
Still is his pal of yesterday
Where the tear in his eyes as the world passes by
An old cow puncher of the western plains
An old pented pony waiting up there
Still is his pal of yesterday
With a tear in his eyes as the world passes by
An old cow puncher of the western plains
