Lyrics
Come on let's learn about our solar system
Climb in the rocket we're off on a mission
3, 2, 1 we blast off so fast
There's the Earth's moon that we've just whizzed past!
Hey look at the sun so big and yellow
Centre of the solar system; important fellow
The sun is actually our nearest star
It's relatively close and not too far
93 million miles from Earth!
OK let's check out each planet one by one
Mercury's the closest to the sun
It's very hot down on planet number one
Venus is the next planet in the line
She's super duper bright, see how she shines!
Next up is our home planet called Earth
There are 25,000 miles around its girth!
After the Earth, Mars comes next
Is it the red planet? Yes that's correct!
Jupiter's the biggest planet of them all
It has a big red spot that's actually a storm!
Now on to Saturn with rings so nice
They're made up from rocks but mainly from ice
Uranus is quite funny lying on its side
27 moons. 29,000 miles wide
Last up, Neptune, planet number eight
It's a gas giant, now isn't that great?!
let's fly back to Earth!
Bye bye!
