Lyrics
(Overture)
"In days gone by, when I was young,
I'd go anywhere life could lead me.
But now as the clock so slowly ticks by,
I have no new horizons to greet me.
There's still so much to do, to learn and understand.
My journey has come to an end.
When I look back on what I've achieved,
there are doubts and there's not much to please me.
I'm just a man with a lust for life,
and needing someone who needs me."
Charles Robert Darwin is my name
My life's intention is to learn
The field of science is my game
Welcome to my world
For twenty years I've been nurturing
My deductions and my analysis
However the world of science is not listening
To a theory such as this - about
The way of the evolution
About the way of the evolution
About the way of the evolution
About the way of the evolution
Will they ever learn
We ought to be far from wondering
About the origin of species
But I encountered intolerance
Regarding my lectures and my thesis
For years I've travelled the land and sea
In search of nature's new phenomena
The world of science won't believe in me
They think my theory's gone too far - about
The way of the evolution
About the way of the evolution
About the way of the evolution
About the way of the evolution
Will they ever learn
