In 1850 baby Jack was born Early on a frosty mornin' Pour your drink, Rise your glass Here's to you, Good old Jack At fifteen he stayed at Reverend Call's But it was from Green that he learnt the most Pour your drink, Rise your glass Here's to you, Good old Jack A drink for the brave, a crown for a king A cane for the old and a fist for a troublemaker Because of this it's our favourite drink Its flavour, its scent, just gives us the chills We like it with coke, on the rocks and neat But mostly in shots and with friends like this Because of this it's our favourite drink Its flavour, its scent, just gives us the chills We like it with coke, on the rocks and neat But mostly in shots and with friends like this After the war he started a firm In Lynchburg land of maple and corn Pour your drink, Rise your glass Here's to you, Good old Jack Then Old No 7 earns the gold As Best Whisky in the world Pour your drink, Rise your glass Here's to you, Good old Jack A drink for the brave, a crown for a king A cane for the old and a fist for a troublemaker Because of this it's our favourite drink Its flavour, its scent, just gives us the chills We like it with coke, on the rocks and neat But mostly in shots and with friends like this Because of this it's our favourite drink Its flavour, its scent, just gives us the chills We like it with coke, on the rocks and neat But mostly in shots and with friends like this The process begins with just Rye, Barley and Corn And the deep waters of Cave Spring Hollow Then a five-day drip through hard sugar maple charcoal Gets a final rest in a barrel of white oak A drink for the brave, a crown for a king A cane for the old and a fist for a troublemaker Because of this it's our favourite drink Its flavour, its scent, just gives us the chills We like it with coke, on the rocks and neat But mostly in shots and with friends like this Because of this it's our favourite drink Its flavour, its scent, just gives us the chills We like it with coke, on the rocks and neat But mostly in shots and with friends like this
