The story made me nervous, so one night I rang the cops
Tryna find out if this pensioner's a psychopath or what
The coppers checked the file and said, as freaky as he seemed
As far as they could tell, this guy was squeaky fucking clean
He'd never had a ticket or cheated on his tax
And their professional opinion was I need to just relax

So as I'm hangin' up the phone, I'm hearin' all the coppers laugh
Like some kinda giant joke was goin' on on my behalf
They told me I was crazy, but what's even more suspicious
My phone took on a buzz like it was bugged and full of glitches
And since I'm always thinkin', I could hardly get to sleep
Then a car I'd never seen just started parkin' on my street
And everywhere I went, I felt like somebody would follow me
I'd stop... And notice there was choppers over top of me
And coppers in my rear view every time I'd peer through
Was blocking calls, plus the water tasted weird too
For lack of sleep, I thought I oughta see the doc
So I saw him and told him 'bout the stalker and the cops
I asked if he could write a script for shit to knock me out
So I could sleep with all these undercover pigs around my house
He said I'm either crazy or I teetered on the brink
And his professional opinion was I need to see a shrink

Knowin' no one that I'd spoken to believed in what I said
And then it clicked, the realisation locked into perspective
That the pensioner, the doctor and the cops are all connected
They told me I was nuts when I discovered they were tellin'
Tryna keep me in submission while just under their surveillance

About this fraudulent democracy because I got the proof
So midnight at my crib, I started watchin' though the curtains
And 'cause the jig was up I thought they'd top me now for certain
Determined that I'd take somebody with me when I go
I thought, "Who better than the stalker prick across the road?"
And so I snuck into the back of his house just like a thief
Had the handle of my jack about to do him in his sleep
And then the... Floor creaked as I reached him with the iron rod.

All I could think about was fear
