I remember what my Mama said
"Not everything that glitters is gold"
And what profits a man
If he gains the whole world
Yet still loses his soul?
Like sandcastles that are here today
But gone tomorrow
The only eternal currency
Is saving other's souls
Wherever your treasure is
There is your heart
Wherever your treasure is
Oh, there is your heart
I remember what the Master said
"Be generous and give to the poor
And that what you've done unto the least of these"
I said "You've done unto the Lord"
Yes the bank of the Lord, it is safe and secure
It's the storehouse of the heavens
And when you arrive and get a high-five
You'll hear "Well done my faithful servant"
Wherever your treasure is
There is your heart
Wherever your treasure is
Oh, there is your heart
So I will put my hope in the heavens
And place my trust in the Lord
Wherever your treasure is
There's your heart
So set your minds on Christ
Not on earthly things
For no earthly things shall bring joy
Yes set your minds on Christ
Not on earthly things (no earthly things)
For no earthly things shall bring joy
You see as soon as the money comes
It seems the money goes
But these problems they're still so real
And it's here today and gone tomorrow
Like a dog chasing after his tail
But if you seek first His Kingdom
And His righteousness
Then all these things they will be added unto to you
So don't worry, no don't stress
'Cause wherever your treasure is
There is your heart, yes
Wherever your treasure is
There is your heart

I can't wait to see what's in store
When we reach Zion
In Heaven it is safe and secure
From theft and corrosion
So I won't focus on the here and now
For someday we'll all die
And spend 10.000 years and forevermore
In the by-and-by
Oh, wherever your treasure is
There is your heart
Wherever your treasure is
There is your heart
So put your hope in the heavens
And place your trust in the Lord
Wherever your treasure is
There is your heart
