I have a lot of passion and energy when it comes to teaching
I love being able to help people learn about music
In a fun way that is not intimidating at all
I think one of my favorite things as far back 10 years ago now
Really getting into teaching was actually working with the New York
City Ballet on their Cello Suite Program where they work with the
Students on how do we make this material more accessible for them?
How can you break down these big concepts into smaller
Pieces that are digestible by all levels of student?
And so working in collaboration not only just on how do we make these
Lessons more digestible for students
But also how do they learn best?
Is it by watching the video?
Is it by listening and reading the text?
How do we make sure that they're able to learn in a way
Where their brains are most active when learning about music
And so working with them on developing those lesson plans has
Been very rewarding from an education standpoint as well as
Just teaching myself so much more about music and how I want my
Own children's lives to be shaped around what makes me happy
Musically too because at the end of day, I think that's what
Makes me happy as well is being involved in creating things myself
So I hope that inspires some people to think about what their passions
Are, whether it's teaching or music making in general or even just
Writing songs down themselves because that means the world for me
Personally when someone puts pen down what they think of my song
Or their own song that they're making up or whatever their passion
Is in life whether you're teaching music or not and just leaving
