The speaker describes an overwhelming shift in how they experience reality. At first, they seem to fall through space without reaching a bottom, yet they remain calm and aware. Their old way of understanding the world collapses, which feels frightening, but their senses continue to work. The feeling then turns toward joy, openness, and love. By the end, falling seems less like a crisis and more like an ongoing state of discovery.

The “two-dimensional boundaries” suggest a limited, flat way of seeing life; losing them means the speaker feels reality has become broader than expected. Falling through a “hole” may represent entering an unknown state of mind, not necessarily a literal place. The contrast between falling and being “relaxed and paying attention” is important: the speaker is not trying to control the experience, but is receptive to it. Calling the teachers’ views “scientific delirium” expresses rejection of explanations that now seem too narrow to the speaker.

The lyrics leave open whether this is a spiritual awakening, an unusual mental experience, or a poetic image of changing one’s worldview.
