You are so faithful
Even when I don't deserve it, You are so faithful
Yes, Lord
I've done everything
To make You turn away
I'm indebted to Your goodness
I don't deserve Your love
You took everything
And You threw it all away
I know this is forgiveness
This is the story of
How my sins are sinking in the sea
Never to rise again
That's what You've done for me
Oh, what a friend
My God, You never left
Father and friend
Who forgives and forgets
I came brokenhearted
Ashamed of my mistakes
But You showed me Your compassion
You're worthy of my trust
Every condemnation
That tried to change my name
There's a reason I don't answer
Tell them the story of
How my sins are sinking in the sea
Never to rise again
That's what You've done for me
Oh, what a friend
My God, You never left (my God, You never left)
Father and friend (Father and friend)
Who forgives (who forgives and forgets)
There is an ocean full of sin
It's sinking to the bottom
It's sinking to the bottom
'Cause grace covered me
Grace covered me
The story that You wrote
And the story that I know
Are not the same
God, You righted every wrong
Mercy is my only song
I give You praise
The story that You wrote
And the story that I know
Are not the same
God, You righted every wrong (God, You righted every wrong)
Mercy is my only song (mercy is my only song)
I give You praise
The story that You wrote (the story that You wrote)
And the story that I know (and the story that I know)
Are not the same
You righted every wrong (God, You righted every wrong)
Mercy is my only song (mercy is my only song)
So I give You praise
Because my sins are sinking in the sea
Never to rise again
That's what You've done for me
Oh, what a friend
(My God) my God, You never left
(You've been a) Father and friend
Who forgives and forgets
Way in over my head
With debt I couldn't pay
But You forgot about it
Yes, You forgot about it
Mercy's new every morning
Why stay in yesterday
When You forgot about it
Yes, You forgot about it
Way in over my head
With debt I couldn't pay (thank You for Your mercy)
But You forgot about it
Yes, You forgot about it
Mercy's new every morning
Why stay in yesterday (when You forgot about it)
When You forgot about it (yes, You forgot)
Yes, You forgot about it (way in over)
Way in over my head (with debt)
With debt I couldn't pay (I should've been in debt, but You)
But You forgot about it (but You forgot about it)
Yes, You forgot about it
Mercy's new every morning
Why stay in yesterday (when You forgot about it)
When You forgot about it (yes, You forgot)
Yes, You forgot about it (You forgot about it)
You forgot about it (You forgot about it)
You forgot about it (You forgot about it)
You forgot about it (You forgot about it)
Yes, You forgot about it (yes, You forgot about it)
You forgot about it (thank You for Your mercy)
You forgot about it (You forgot about it)
You forgot about it (You forgot about it)
Yes, You forgot about it (yes, You forgot)
Way in over my head
With debt I couldn't pay
But You forgot about it (yes, You did)
Yes, You forgot about it
Mercy's new every morning
Why stay in yesterday (when You forgot about it)
When You forgot about it (yes, You forgot)
Yes, You forgot about it
Way in over my head
With debt I couldn't pay
But You forgot about it
Yes, You forgot about it
Mercy's new every morning
Why stay in yesterday (when You forgot about it)
When You forgot about it
Yes, You forgot about it
Sinking in the sea
Never to rise again
That's what You've done for me
Oh, what a friend
My God, You never left
Father and friend
Who forgives and forgets
