These are my confessions
Yeah
My confessions
Aye
Back then I used to be all about self
I don't wanna hear nothing bout nobody else
I confess I had issues with ego and pride to start
Idolized every aspect of the game
It pulled us apart
Got tired of letting all the wrong people in my life
They leaving my heart scarred
When I should've put you first
I fell victim to a fatal attraction
Like you ain't show me my worth
I know this life that I live is attractive
They gone sing the words down to the adlib
Saying they been rocking with me since back
When they ain't contribute to none of this passion at all
God I must confess
I didn't believe you when you said you'd handle it all
God I must confess
Still had to see for myself
It led me to fall
God I must confess
I was at war with my flesh
Some battles I lost
But you wiped it clean for us all
You paid the ultimate cost
Back then I used to be all about self
I don't wanna hear nothing bout nobody else
I confess I had issues with ego and pride to start
Idolized every aspect of the game
It pulled us apart
Got tired of letting all the wrong people in my life
They leaving my heart scarred
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
They leaving my heart scarred
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah
Back in the day I had greed and pride
Ego inflated
I couldn't even cry
Don't let em see you with hurt in your eyes
It's soft
Mama would teach me her intimate thoughts
Men are the leaders
No time for hearts
I do what I'm taught
You gotta be tough cause this world is lost
I get it
Confessions I made in the darkest of rooms
Humbled by life and it got me confused
I did what was right in the eyes of man
It wasn't his plan
It wasn't the truth
I'm following you
The Lord
The Peace
The Way
The life I choose
That's my right to use
Yeah
I said peace to my woes
Still put grief in my songs cause I won't speak it over the phone
I must confess Lord
Know that I been wrong
I mean it
I'm bringing em home
From the ground you made me whole
Yeah yeah
Back then I used to be all about self
I don't wanna hear nothing bout nobody else
I confess I had issues with ego and pride to start
Idolized every aspect of the game
It pulled us apart
Got tired of letting all the wrong people in my life
They leaving my heart scarred
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
They leaving my heart scarred
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah
It's bigger than life
It's bigger than me
Was going through struggles
Had to get right
I was doing my own thing
I had to go straight to the light
Cause you the only way
You the only one who saves
I had to get back to you
You the only one that got me through
I know things ain't perfect
But I know that you worth it
Long as I'm with you
I'm certain that I'm good
For real
Back then I used to be all about self
I don't wanna hear nothing bout nobody else
I confess I had issues with ego and pride to start
Idolized every aspect of the game
It pulled us apart
Got tired of letting all the wrong people in my life
They leaving my heart -
These are my confessions
They leaving my heart scarred
These are my confessions
