Some big picture came to me
As I was crawling from the sea
A painting on a movie screen
I saw
Of futures broad and infinite,
Of aimless empty nothingness
I saw the light and shadows
All the reds and blues and yellows
Our goodbyes and our first hellos
In it all
Some big picture came to me
As I was drifting off to to sleep
I wish I'd written what I'd seen
But now
I wake again, another sun
A new beginning has begun
And though I have forgotten
I'll have moments, captured, caught
Inside the rolls and rolls of my small picture films
