The lyrics portray a group hunting someone through a city, driven by anger and a desire for revenge. Their threat grows more intense as the song progresses: they insist the target cannot escape and say they will keep searching until they get what they want. The repeated chorus gives the pursuit a relentless, almost chant-like feeling.

“Scanning the scene” suggests carefully looking around for a person or sign of trouble. The phrase “our brains are on fire” is a metaphor for overwhelming, feverish anger, not a literal injury. “Dying one thousand deaths” is an exaggeration: it suggests extreme fear or suffering, rather than exactly a thousand deaths.
