Young Brendan said that he wanted to be a card maker
But when he told his father he said he would go nowhere
First customer was for a man who's wife was 41
He made the card and it was nice but he wrote her name wrong
Man came back and he was angry wanted a refund
Screamed and shouted said it's not hard to spell Siobhan
Young Brendan cried he said it's not his fault he's only young
He's still in school and he's still learning multiplication
The man accepts the deal where he would make another one
Go Brendan go Go Brendan go Go Brendan
Make those cards
Go Brendan go Go Brendan go
I know that you'll go far
Go Brendan go Go Brendan go Go Brendan
You know I
Will buy your cards
Few years later you could say he'd sold a few more cards
He's moving house and driving around a fancy new car
The reason people buy them and why they are successful
Is cause every single card has the name on the front spelled wrong
You can buy them for your birthday or when kids are born
They're good for everything except maybe a funeral
Brendan was happy he'd proved everyone wrong
Go Brendan Go Brendan
Go Brendan Go Brendan
Brendan you're getting old
You're broke and going home
But what I wanna know
Is where will you go
So Brendan's cards they are a bust they're making no money
He can't afford to pay his bills he's living on the streets
Stays in a shelter put beside a man he's younger than
He starts a conversation, tells him that his name is Ben
He tells our good friend Brendan that his lovely wife is dead
Brendan wonders how she died but asks her name instead
And when the man replied the word filled him with dread
Siobhan
